Small world
So I get a post from martinoffroad saying that he thinks we are neighbors. So what are the odds? We should have bought Lotto tickets. There is ONE house between us. I took it off blog & emailed him. We emailed back forth for a couple of days. Shared names & personal info and such. Well, tonight I walked over & introduced myself. Offroad & his lady welcomed me to their home. We sat on their deck in view of our property drinking sweet tea . We talked about a bunch of you bloggers, politics (asshole Kraus), living in Raytown, and what ever else came up. I can hardly believe we talked for around 2 1/2 hours. I had a great time, and I think they did too. Great people! We're talking about getting together at BB's Lawnside BBQ for food & music some time in the next few weeks. Any one else interested?

I know I have a history of missing these things at the last minute, but I'd love it. Pick a date and I'll help publicize it!
If it wasn't for the mosquitos and having to go to work today, we would have been up well past midnight...we had a wonderful time Spyder...can almost taste BB's now.
I hope they have good fries & coleslaw!
Been there a number of times. Would like them to bring back Nigel, a Blues man from Saskatchewan (as in Canada), who knows how to rock with the best of KC musicians.

Nigel Mack is now based in Chicago http://www.nigelmack.com but has come out to BB's in concert with John Copowicz of Johnny C & The Automatics, http://www.johnnycandtheautomatics.com/. John also runs JC's, an automotive repair shop here in Raytown on 83rd St. He owns one of BB King's Lucille guitars.
I'm up for BB's... good food, good music, good company... sounds like a great time to me.
