Weekend retreat

Did you know that Heineken has mini kegs? This last weekend I found that out at my Fiber Guild retreat. I forgot my Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum for my diet Coke. But I survived anyways. We also gorged ourselves on chocolate & potato chips, pizza...
These are the socks I finished knitting. To say that I'm glad to have finished them is an understatement. The pattern that was given to me was wrong. But thanks to the patience of good friends who walked me through the socks are finished. Believe me not an easy "feet". (nudge, nudge) And being a glutton for punishment I started another pair in different colors. There was a lot of knitting, spinning, sewing, quilting going on.

I called the hubby, on my way back into town, to warn him to get the naked dancing girls out. He had a bunch of buddies over &they had gamed all Saturday. He did tell me that while working on the property Sunday morning he found another fawn hit by a car. Bummer.

We saw those kegs at a liquor store by Whole Foods in Overland Park, unfortunately I am not a Heineken drinker...glad you made it back from your trip safely, I was hoping you didn't find out about the fawn.

offroad- You know the hubby doesn't keep secrets from me. But the goodnews is this morning putting our big monster dogs out he saw another doe & 2 fawns in the north yard. They must be breeding like rabbits! And that's another story. Oh my God! Shit loads of bunnies around our place, rolling in the gravel dust.

In the evenings we notice all the rabbits in the meadow...funny thing is you got us calling it the meadow now.
We put out some deck lights so we are set up for entertaining now in the evenings, will have to keep some Captain Morgan Spiced rum on hand for ya...:-)

I love these socks ! If you feel like knitting an extra pair, think of me (cold Canadians winter, you like me etc.) :$

Zhu- I'm so slow I haven't even made my mom a pair. It took me almost a year to get that pair done. If I get faster I'll let you know. And yes I like you! We will be driving in to Ottawa Tuesday August 7th & heading to Temiscaming, Quebec the next day. Coffee?

I love your socks! What a beautiful pattern and I love the colors you chose. Hopefully, the next pair will go much faster for you.

Bighair- Thanks! Really it's the yarn that does all the work as far as the color changes. My issue was doing the heels. Ugh! Next pair I will use a better pattern.
