Joke - Miscommunication

Miscommunication
A co-worker got a pen stuck inside our printer. He started to try and remove the pen, but I told him we don't have time for that now, just put a note on the printer telling folks not to use it and then report it to the Help Desk. So he grabbed a piece of paper and scribbled on it. I left before he finished the note.

*About 20 minutes later, one of my techs comes in laughing and says he was just in the lobby, saw a piece of paper on a printer and went to investigate.

*Attached is what he found. Sometimes things don't always come out the way you want them to...

Now that you've smiled at least once, get back to work!

I'm Baaack!

Holy Shit biatches! My Google Reader says 70!!!

I got there Friday around 5pm & left Sunday at 3:30pm. I stayed up till 2am Friday & Saturday nights & slept till 9am. I'm still coughing but feeling much better. I think the extra sleep & limited physical activities helped. Sorry XO no pillow fights. I only had one meal that I planned & executed which was Saturday lunch, baked potato & salad bar. One of the gal had also made matzo ball soup. There was lots of snack, chocolates, artichoke dip & chips. We ate well. And when the snow storm started we were not worried about running out of food. I think there even was alcohol to be taken home. I did have something called Black Sambuca with hot cocoa & marshmallows. There was beer but I wasn't in the mood. Can you believe that? I stayed in my sheepy flannel PJs from Friday night till Sunday morning. I did call & check up on Kanga twice a day to make sure he was recuperating & taking the Dayquil & Nyquil as I prescribed. I did spin some beautiful Alpaca, and did a bit of knitting on some socks. When I needed a break from all the magpies I went & laid down in the living room in front of the fireplace with a good book. Great weekend!

Weekend with the girls

I will be away from my laptop & hubby this weekend. Twice a year we girls have a get away weekend. We will stay up late, eat chocolate, drink, and knit, spin, or weave. I'm on the tail end of the creeping crud. I'll be checking on you all Sunday night.

Peace out!

Due to health

We've decided to postpone celebrating Valentine's Day. We are both still sick. So no going out for supper, or nightclubbing. Kanga proves everyday how much he loves me. He puts by my daily pills in a zip lock baggy along with a bagel & cream cheese or an english muffin with Cheese Whiz. Yes, I said Cheese Whiz. Then he feeds the dogs & puts them out in their pen with fresh water. Before leaving for work he scrapes my car windows. He'll call during the day or send me an email that may only say "Love you, me". I much rather have all this than some flowers. Spoiled? You bet!

Sick & Tired

I'm sick & tired. I'm sick & tired of being sick. I've been in my flannel PJs all weekend. There is so much I could have done, wanted to do. Nothing got done but sleep, and catching up on reading my peeps blogs. Just wanted to let you know I'm still alive, but just don't feel like it. Probably don't smell like it either. Ugh! Think I'll go take a shower now.

F ing Hairball

Went to work today. I guess Hell broke loss yesterday since my boss didn't go in either. "What are we going to do if Spyder & Obiwan aren't here to save the day?" Send the F ing money to the business office, Duh!. It'll get processed the next day. What happens if the Head honcho, or VPs aren't there? Guess Obiwan & I are more important. Bless her heart Obiwan tried to send me home today. But I'm a team player, so idiot me stayed. Office mate wanted me to go home too. I think they're tired of hearing my hairballs. Well, guess what? I'm tired too. They sound worse in my head, and I won't even go into taste & look. I tried a home remedy tonight. I heated up red wine with cinnamon & lots of honey. Can't say that it helped but the honey sure made the red wine drinkable. It's a good thing I have no life while I'm sick because my Google reader is showing 37. And only 9 of those are Tony's. F*** now that I mention f***er I've got to link him. Ah go find him in my sidebar. TKC. No, not with the bloggers, look doooownnnn loooow in his own lonely basement. Damn, if I wasn't hacking these hairballs I'd be fun tonight. Snarkyyyyy

Rent it!

Go rent it or add it to your Netflix queue Rabbit-Proof Fence. Watch it then watch the bonus part about how it was made. Kanga & I watched it this last weekend. Yes, there are no special effects, spaceships, or shoot em up scenes. But if you want a TRUE story that is moving then this is the one for you.

Book em Dano!

Fragrant Palm Leaves, Journals 1962-1966 by Thich Nhat Hanh.

If you are distant and remote, I will be distant and remote. Look into my eyes and you will know if your universe is bright or dark, infinite or finite, mortal or immortal. The poet Tru Vu wrote:

Because eyes see the blue sky,
eyes glisten sky-blue.
Because eyes see the vast ocean,
eyes extend as far as the sea.

Piano duet for the musically inclined

I bet their mom is so proud! LOL I bet piano lessons they took were interesting. And where in Hell would you come up with this idea? Well, except maybe at college after many beers.

I almost peed myself

I almost peed myself watching this.

Unexpected surprise

Kanga & I were at a party Saturday evening. It was a fun gathering. We brought a friend with us who has only been in KC for a year & a half. I think she had a good time. Unfortunately, I don't think there were any single men there.

The KCMO mayor & wife showed up. I didn't get to talk to them. I guess I could have but I didn't want to get up & lose my spot on the love seat. Hey, Tony, she had her shoes on the whole time. Cute shoes too.

The biggest surprise of the evening was when someone came over & introduced herself as a lurker. She reads my blog! She also reads, XO, Faith, Erin. I'm sure there were others but those are the only ones that I remember since we talked about them specifically. She thought Erin was cute. Which I agreed that she is. She also said she LOVES XO. What can I say? Who doesn't love him? Well, maybe one of his exwifes... Then I told her that Faith's dad was getting the lung transplant. My God you would have thought that it was good news from a family member. She was so excited. I think we all are really. She met Kanga & commented on his ability to swing a hammer. I tried to talk her into posting a comment now & then on our blogs. Hey, Mrs. B. let us know you're out there.
